The 8th International Sea Lice Conference is being held in Victoria, BC May 9-12, 2010.  Abstract submission deadline is January 8, 2010.  A Mathematical Modelling Symposium and Workshop is being held on May 12-13, 2010 as well.  See the links above for more information and details on registration.

A Washington issue that may be of interest to those working on BC rockfish conservation.  The Wild Fish Conservancy has released an action alert asking people to show support for Puget Sound Rockfish and Marine Protected Areas.  The public comment period ends at 5pm on January 4, 2010.  For more information see Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife's Rockfish Conservation website.
